Today we went to the Christalite Methodist Home again. But, this time instead of doing santa hats,we did heart decorating and necklace/bracelet making.
I think I had a much better time this time than last time. I say this because I felt more engaged in what we were doing with the old folks. The woman I was working with asked me to do stuff until she got the hang of it. Her friend that she had brought along could speak both english and chinese. She helped me understand what my lady wanted and I was very happy that she was willing to do that.
I got two valentines from the two lady's! I didn't really help her friend but she still gave me her valentine that she made. My lady gave me her valentine too! She took a fancy to the sparkly sequence and let me tell that if you shined it in the sun and into someone's eyes you could very well blind them!
I think this was a bunch of fun and I hope we can go back soon! I know I had the best time ever because that hour seemed like 10 minutes!
Meaghan, this is awesome. I came by your table a bunch of times and would have never known the woman you were working with didn't speak English. You were so engaged with her. I saw smiles on both of your faces the entire time. I'm really glad to hear you had a great time today.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I did like this time more than last time because I was also more engaged with them this time. That is really nice that two woman gave you Valentine's! I thought that one of them you made and the other was from the lady. I really like your conclusion, it felt like ten minutes for me also! Good job Meaghan!
ReplyDeleteThis field trip went by so quickly! We had so much fun that we didn't even realize how the time passed. On our table, this man wasn't even gluing his decorations. He just simply put them on the heart and told us to glue it ourselves! It is nice to know that this field trip was fun for you. Even though we have already been to the Christalite Methodist Home before, it was just as fun!
ReplyDeleteI agree, it was really fun! In my opinion, I think that the first visit was a little more fun. There was more to talk about with my guy. But, then again, you didn't have him so you can have a different opinion. Great Job!
ReplyDeleteI think you did really good on explaining what you were doing and who you worked with. It sounds like you had a bunch of fun both time we went. I would also fix that big gap of white space from the end of the writing to the commenting place.
