How to choose the right dog
I learned that there are a lot of different dog breeds. Dogs were first tamed over 15,000 years ago! I had never knew that. The internet helped me a lot as well as books did (Maybe even better!). I got to learn about my favorite animal EVER so that made this writing the best one yet.We had to do tons of research for this awesome informal piece so I hope you enjoy mine!

I really like your intro it really made me want to read the newspaper. I also like how you made it easy to read. I understand the story cause you explained it so well. Nice job on your pictures and also writing words. Nice job on the newspapers. I teally enjoyed reading it.
ReplyDeleteYou did a really good job with this piece! I liked your into, your excellent word choice, and tons of other things too! I learned A LOT from this, and now I know what foods to never give to a dog. Something that you might want to work on is all the white space that you have. On almost every page you had white space. Also on the page about what the words mean, I think that people would know what the word vet means. One more thing, I don't think that you should put "Awesome Person" under "By: Meaghan"because it's not necessary. But otherwise you did a great job on this.
ReplyDeleteI really liked your introduction. I like how you started of with a question. It made get hooked into the writing. Wow I didn't know that wolfs domesticated 15,000 years ago! I like how you put that fact in there. I like how you put the top rated and popular dogs. I really liked how you had a section of what space do dogs need and what they eat. That is a really good job for beginners. Just to say grapes are poisonous to dogs! That is what it said in all of my dog books and that is why Bailey got sick a bit often when we first had her. But good job Meaghan!
ReplyDeleteWhen I read the last words that said have fun with your new doggy, I immediately said in my head, Oh I will! When I read your's and Amber's they gave me a lot of tips for Doodles. Like Amber said, I did not know that wolfs domesticated 15,000 years ago! I like how you included lots of facts here and there. Well done!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic piece of writing kiddo! I think you did an excellent job using different kinds of information to teach us about dogs. You introduced the topic in an interesting way and kept your reader engaged throughout the entire piece. I think one thing that stands out for me is that you have fantastic voice in your writing. I love that your playfulness comes through in your work. Atta girl kiddo!
